SimplePractice Welcomes Education Director Lindsay Oberleitner and General Manager Eric Goldstein to Lead its Robust Continuing Education Platform
SimplePractice continues to add high-caliber talent across its software ecosystem to ensure the delivery of best-in-class technology, services, and support for every aspect of running a health and wellness practice
Los Angeles, CA—June 30, 2022—SimplePractice, an EngageSmart (NYSE: ESMT) solution and industry-leading platform simplifying the health and wellness experience, has announced two new hires to lead its clinician-focused digital learning platform, SimplePractice Learning: Lindsay Oberleitner, Education Director, and Eric Goldstein, Head of SimplePractice Learning. Oberleitner brings extensive experience in clinical psychology from institutions such as Yale University, and Goldstein has a strong background in content and business development from his tenure at organizations such as Disney. Combined, they will lead the SimplePractice Learning platform to continue to meet demand for high-quality, real-world relevant content designed specifically for the needs of health and wellness professionals and private practice owners.
“SimplePractice continues to invest in expanding our content library to support clinicians through each step of their careers, and we are fortunate to be joined by two leaders who will lead our continuing education and business-building curriculum, and aggressively grow our presenter base to ensure it remains the best in the industry,” said SimplePractice President Jonathan Seltzer. “Their combined experience in clinical psychology, academia, and business strategy and development make them the right fit to bring enhanced vision to the education of both practitioners and their clients.”
Lindsay Oberleitner is a clinical psychologist who has worked at the intersection of addiction, trauma, and chronic health conditions. Before joining SimplePractice, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, and Western Connecticut State University. She also served as Associate Director of the Yale Forensic Drug Diversion Clinic, where she worked to increase access to care and recovery for underserved populations, and advance equitable and inclusive treatment through a community engagement approach. Her commitment to evidence-based, interdisciplinary continuing education was integral to developing course work at Western Connecticut State University for licensed alcohol and drug counselors, and her work on continuing education efforts nationally.
Eric Goldstein served as head of business development at Firstlight Media before joining SimplePractice. Over the course of his career, Eric has become known for effectively leading growth initiatives in strategic partnerships, business development, distribution, and digital content roles. At Disney, he helped build the new world of streaming content services, overseeing ESPN’s licensing deals with Netflix, managing the day-to-day Hulu partnership, and leading authenticated apps distribution across over-the-top platforms.
“Over the past few years, we’ve experienced a mental health crisis that has put immense pressure on wellness practitioners across the board,” said Oberleitner. “As Education Director of SimplePractice Learning, I look forward to bringing an interdisciplinary approach to continuing education and ensuring that practitioners are supported across their journey, and are able to apply everything they learn to improve upon how they practice.”
“I’ve really connected with SimplePractice’s mission of helping those who help others,” said Goldstein. “There is an incredible opportunity to create and develop engaging content and experiences that will help practitioners learn and grow, and ultimately benefit their clients.”
